She married Jonathan Crosby in 1834. She was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1835. She lived in Kirtland, Ohio, and later moved to Indiana. Autobiography by Cyrena Dustin Merrille, including her experience joining the Mormon Church in 1837, time spent in Far West, Missouri, Nauvoo, Illinois, Winter Quarters, Nebraska, and her migration to Salt Lake City, Utah. She describes the impact of a measles outbreak among Ute Indians in Salt Lake City in 1851, and an 1876 move to Arizona with her family. Also included is a genealogy of the Merrill family. Pratt, written from San Francisco in January 1855, focusing on family concerns; and a fifteen-page autobiographical sketch written by her, dated 1884 on page one and 1889 on page eleven. Also includes an undated biographical sketch of Belinda written by Parker Pratt Robison, based on her autobiographical account. Her account discusses her conversion to Mormonism, church service, and marriage to Parley P. Pratt.
