Suzanne Eatough collected personal narratives of The Old Folks Sociable, an event held in the city of Grantsville, Utah every year. Included are songs sung at the event, memories of the Sociable, and descriptions of both the Old Folks Sociable and the Children's sociable. Project was written for an English 392 class taught at Brigham Young University during Winter semester 1990.

Submitted by BYU student Paula C. Hytrek for her Summer 1975 English 391 class. About hunting lore and its commentary on the Western U.S.'s hunting folkgroup experience. Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, informant abstracts, and informant's hunting stories. Stories include Grandpa Tullis shooting a deer without his pants on, exciting shots at bucks, the legend of the moo-elk, shooting swans accidently, moose steak, crazy elk in Canada, bears and more.

This project looks at the origin of the names of 4 males and 12 female college age students. Patterns being noted are family names being passed on, being named after a well known character, and having standard first names and novel middle names. 11 Americans were interviewed along with five multicultural students (Japanese, Polynesian, Columbian, Mexican, Arabic). Collected by Amy Roper, Dr. Eric Eliason's ENGL 391 class, Winter 2008.

Timothy Jon Rowley collected personal narratives dealing with the origins of a mine that was begun when a bishop, John Koyle, had a vision. Included are stories of the bishop's apostasy and excommunication from the church, and opposing stories that claim that the bishop was a righteous man and that the riches from the mine were for the welfare of the church during hard times that would occur before the second coming.
