The origin of names / Amy Roper, 2008
Scope and Contents note
This project looks at the origin of the names of 4 males and 12 female college age students. Patterns being noted are family names being passed on, being named after a well known character, and having standard first names and novel middle names. 11 Americans were interviewed along with five multicultural students (Japanese, Polynesian, Columbian, Mexican, Arabic). Collected by Amy Roper, Dr. Eric Eliason's ENGL 391 class, Winter 2008.
