Asael Jenkins Smith missionary journal
Contains one mission journal by Smith. The journal has approximately 102 pages and documents Asael's mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Netherlands. The journal contains statistics documenting his missionary work, entries, photographs of various mission companions and Dutch members of Church, ephemera, and some correspondence.
Asahel Henry Smith letters and photographs
Contains letters, photographs, commentary, a timeline, and other related materials regarding the life of Asahel Henry Smith. These cover the time he spent serving in the military during the Second World War, his time as an Mormon missionary to the Eastern United States, as well as other contextual information. The commentary was done by Henry's brother, Marion, and gives a bit of background information and some of the memories that Marion had of Henry.
Bathsheba W. Bigler Smith autobiography
Photocopy of a 260-page handwritten autobiography. Smith includes copies of correspondence and patriarchal blessings in her account. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1837, lived with the Mormons in Missouri and Illinois, married George Albert Smith in 1841, allowed him to take additional wives, came to Utah in 1849, and served as president of the Relief Society.
Bathsheba W. Bigler Smith letters
Collection includes a handwritten and signed letter dated June 15, 1904, in which Smith congratulates Jacob G. Bigler and his wife on their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Emmeline B. Wells was a scribe for the letter. Also included is a postcard from Smith to Bigler. Materials are dated 1900-1910.
