Submitted by BYU student Lisa Jackson New about crocheting and how it is passed down from mother to daughter, common conceptions about crocheting and how the practice has changed over time. Includes a cover essay, autobiography, informants' interviews about how they first started/became interested in crocheting, as well as their styles, male crocheters, and pictures of the things they make. Bourne interviews her mother in a quest to find out how her mother began quilting and what quilting means to her family. Callister collected good luck traditions practiced by athletes to improve their performance while competing.
