Scope and Contents note

This project is a collection of children's hand-clapping games and the role they play in making friends from other countries, such as Canada and Venezuala. The analysis discusses how children's games provide stability. Also discusses the collector's experience in using games to teach her nephews about vital social skills and simple lessons. Also discusses how children can teach each other hand-clapping games from other countries. Includes a 14 item collection of hand-clapping games, mostly from children themselves. Collected by Tara Wilkinson, Deirdre Paulsen's ENGL 391 class, Fall 2006.
