Scope and Contents

Photograph of an unknown man, possibly Elisha Kane, Thomas L. Kane's oldest brother. He is wearing a long black suit with his hand stuffed into his suit coat. He is standing next to an elaborately decorated chair, curtain, column, and urn. His hair is black and he has small mutton chops on the sides of his face. The photograph was taken by Wenderother & Taylor Late Broadbent & Co., in Philadelphia.
