Scope and Contents note

Tinted photograph of Harriet Ameila Kane, Elizabeth Kane's mother. The date must be incorrect because Harriet Amelia Kane Wood died in 1846 and Harriet Amelia Kane, Elizabeth's daughter, would only be eleven years old when this photograph was supposedly taken. The photograph is of an old woman with tinted black hair with ringlets, a white patterned bonnet, and a blue tinted dress. On the back is written in blue ink, "H. A. Kane from her Mother 1865." The photograph was taken by Wenderoth & Taylor of Philadelphia.
