Rex G. Wardle oral history, 2008
Scope and Contents
Materials contains the transcripts and audiocassettes of the oral history of Rex G. Wardle regarding his personal life and service with the U.S. Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Essex. A note in the folder written by Don Norton indicates that a fair amount of information was deleted from the oral history, likely by Wardle's wife, and so the folder includes both the revised version and the draft, with deletions marked. Wardle discusses his transfer to a refueling ship and being a mechanic. Dated 2008.
