Scope and Contents
Letter from J. S. Wilson to Sigmund Heilner. J. S. Wilson tells of a meeting held by the Oregon Railway & Navigational Co. Board in which anyone leaving Baker City, which is "so severely infected with Small Pox," will be imprisoned for life and will be tarred and feathered to "disinfect and fumigate" the escapee. Dated January 28, 1885. Includes a transcription of the letter.
