Scope and Contents
Photographic reproduction of an undated confessional in Spanish and Cuna, composed in Darién, probably during the 18th century, by Capuchine father Pedro de Llisa. The ms. contains questions and responses for both priest and penitent in Spanish, followed by equivalent terms in the Cuna language. Translations in Cuna are also given for an admonition to the penitent by priest, and for a prayer of repentance. Darien (Panama and Colombia) 1700‐1799 Manuscripts.
