Sunshine letter to James Warren Sirrine, 1905 June 11
Scope and Contents
A letter from "Sunshine" at 515 S. State, Salt Lake City to James Warren Sirrine in Dingle, ID. Written to "My Dear Sunny Jim" apparently by a female cousin of similar age from Tom and Ann's home. By then all of Tom's children were married. Mentions Mamie and Maida, also Edna and Ivy, so probably wasn't Edna. I believe it was Mary's daughter, Iolanthe, who was the same age as Warren, both 17. She says "aunt" got a letter from Sarah. This would have been Tom's Lucy. Says "…give them all a squeeze for Mabel and me." Iolanthe's younger sister was named Mabel. Expresses condolences, I believe for the recent death of Leroy, Maida's 19 year old brother. Dated June 11, 1905.
