It could represent the group emigrating with him from Nottingham with the number in their party and payment status. The second document reads: James son of James and Catherine Oaky born 21st June 1817 Christened June 2nd 1818 Registered June 3rd 1818 by John Smith Minister. Barnabus Lounds letter to James Oakey, 1863 April 30

Scope and Contents A letter from Barnabus Lounds near Nottingham, England to his nephew James Oakey. This letter was sent to James shortly before his departure to Utah. He can't come to Nottingham as promised, but has gotten James the book and is writing him the receipts out that he promised. He is sure it will be of great use to James if he only applies it to his own family. Scope and Contents

A handwritten transcription of the original letter written by I.E. Margosches (illegible) in Birmingham, England to Hyrum Oakey. Possibly a servant or butler writing on behalf of Mrs. Berry, a daughter of Mrs. Halcrow, whom Hyrum had written for genealogical information. Mr. John Magee lived at Leamington (my native town) and lies in the same cemetery as my parents. Then discusses his delight that America has entered the war. Dated April 14, 1917.
