The first letter, from Theodore Foote to Judge Warner, dated August 5, 1895, was given to Robert Skelton, Provo, Utah, who answered it and forwarded the letter to Benjamin Cluff accompanied by another letter with an explanation of the events. This letter is dated August 8, 1895. The original letter is written concerning Theodore Foote, from White River, Rio Blanco Co., Colorado, enrolling his son in school during the coming winter.
