Letter from Isaac Kaufman to Sigmund Heilner. S. A. Heilner countersigned on a Ladd & Tilton Bank Note for Isaac Kaufman. Note is due, and Sigmund finds himself in the tragic position of having to pay $11,000 as Isaac Kaufman has defaulted on the note himself. Dated August 17, 1883. Includes a transcription of the letter.
