Heilner family letter to Sigmund Heilner and Seligmann Heilner, 1863 September 4
Scope and Contents
Letter from Heilner family to Sigmund Heilner and Seligmann Heilner. Aron’s home in Urspringen is so small since much is used for his school teaching of Jewish children. He and Nanni go to Karbach for the first time and are impressed with the size of their daughter and son-in-law's home, barns and stalls on the "most important street" in town. He writes also of the Austrian Kaiser and the German Princes meeting to unite the two countries. Aron wishes his sons a happy Rosh Hoshannah. Dated September 4, 1863. Also contains a translation of the letter.
