Heilner family letter to Sigmund Heilner and Seligmann Heilner, 1862 June 12
Scope and Contents
Letter from Heilner family to Sigmund Heilner and Seligmann Heilner. Caroline and Marx Stiefel are married. Edict of 1813 abolished. Regina has a new baby. Insightful comments on Aron's work as a school teacher. Nanni, in one sentence, sums up what Aron desires for himself through their sons: that he can "independently live in the midst of his children in his later years." That independence will come only through the productivity of his children. Dated June 12, 1862. Also contains a translation of the letter.
