Little writes about his marriage to Mary Jane Lytle in December of 1849 and troubles with Indians in Utah Valley, Utah. Little compiled numerous sources including correspondence and newspaper articles by and about the second president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brigham Young (1801-1877). The materials cover Young's career as an LDS Church leader until his death and are often interspersed with brief narratives by Little. The items also document LDS Church history.
