Andrew Garland Mayfield (1921-2003) was a United States Marine who served in WWII in the Battle of Okinawa.

Andrew Garland Mayfield was born in 1921 in Whitney, Hill, Texas to Samuel Bert Mayfield and Lula Rachel Mitchell. Andrew joined the United States Marines between 1941 and 1944. He served as a member of Company F, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, and was a Field Music Corporal. He fought in the Battle of Okinawa during WWII. Andrew was wounded in action on June 5th, 1945, and returned home. He passed away April 17, 2003 in California.
