Emily Whitney Smith (1885-1973) was the wife of Winslow Smith and served as a missionary with her husband during his mission presidency.

Emily Whitney was born January 29, 1885 to Orson F. Whitney and Zina B. Smooth in Utah. She married Winslow Farr Smith on June 7, 1906. Together, they later served a mission in the Northern States Mission (from 1919-1923) where he served as the mission president.

Smith passed away on May 12, 1973.

Also contains a scrapbook of newspaper articles pertaining to events during Winslow's mission presidency for the LDS church in the Northern States mission from 1919-1923 as well as various poems by family members. Materials dated 1908-1982.
