Biography

Harry Carey, Jr. (1921-2012) was an American actor.

Harry George Carey, Jr. was born on May 16, 1921, in Santa Clarita, California to actor Harry Carey and Olive Fuller Golden Carey. He served during WWII in the United States Navy as a medical corpsman, but was later transferred to work stateside in motion picture production. He married Marilyn Fix in 1944, and they had four children. After the war, Carey remained in the film industry, taking up acting like his father. He eventually appeared in over 90 films, many of them Westerns, as well as on television. Carey also worked as a documentary filmmaker and as an author. He died on December 27, 2012, in Santa Barbara, California.
