Biography
Abbie Kimball Kemp is the great-grand daughter of Heber C. Kimball and Orson Pratt.
Abbie was born in Idaho to Joseph Ramon Kimball and Abbie Hannah Rice. She was the last of eight children. Her parents moved to San Diego when she was a teenager. She and her sister Marie married the Kemp brothers, Omer and Carroll, respectively. Abbie loved to paint scenery and painted many landscapes, as well as her garage door in La Mesa, California.

Contains photocopies of a few pages of Abbie Hannah Rice Kimball's diary, a complete typescript of Kimball's diary copied by her daughter, Abbie Kimball Kemp, in the 1960's, a geneological chart, and a few photographs of the Kimball family. Along with these photocopies, the collection likewise contains a selection of excerpts from Kimball's diary made by Elaine Gwilliam Jeffries.
