Scope and Contents
Contains photocopies of a few pages of Abbie Hannah Rice Kimball's diary, a complete typescript of Kimball's diary copied by her daughter, Abbie Kimball Kemp, in the 1960's, a geneological chart, and a few photographs of the Kimball family. Along with these photocopies, the collection likewise contains a selection of excerpts from Kimball's diary made by Elaine Gwilliam Jeffries.

Biographical / Historical
Abbie Hannah Rice Kimball (1872-1956) married Joseph Kimball, the grandson of Heber C. Kimball and Orson Pratt. Together they had eight children.
Abbie Hannah Rice Kimball was born on November 22, 1872 in Providence, Utah, to Oscar Rice and Jane Miller. She was married to Joseph Raymon(d) Kimball on September 6, 1893 in Logan, Utah. Joseph Kimball was the grandson of both Heber C. Kimball and Orson Pratt. Joseph and Abbie Hannah Rice Kimball had eight children and lived in various places such as Utah, Canada, Idaho, and California. Abbie Hannah Rice Kimball died on October 19, 1946 in San Diego, California. Joseph remained in San Diego until his death on September 25, 1956.

Elaine Gwilliam Jeffries was born in Weiser, Idaho on June 27, 1927. She passed away in Los Angeles, California in June 1987.
