Administrative History

KTKK (1985-2017) was a radio broadcasting program in Salt Lake City, Utah.

KTKK (630 AM) began under the call-sign KSXX in the 1960s playing music. In 1965 it switched to hosting talk shows. The station changed its call sign to KZJO in 1982 and began playing music again, but six months later returned to talk radio. Finally, on August 5, 1985 the station changed the call sign to KTKK. The station shared tower space with KLLB when housing development displaced its previous tower. The station moved all programing to 1640 AM and signed off on May 1, 2017. The station surrendered the KTKK license on September 27, 2017 and was cancelled the next day by the Federal Communications Commission.
