Administrative History

The Sunstone Symposium (est. 1979) is an annual symposium sponsored by the Sunstone Education Foundation and held in Salt Lake City.

The Sunstone Education Foundation originally focused on the publication of newspapers and magazines as a method of discussing different opinions surrounding the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1979, the Symposium began as a public convention in Salt Lake City; since the 1980s, it has also taken place in other locations. The symposium invites people from all opinions and faiths to discuss the culture, history, and doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ.
