Administrative History
The Instructional Services Division (1972-1973) was an academic support division at Brigham Young University. The unit coordinated and administered university departments with responsibility for media development and production on campus.
The Instructional Services Division was established in 1972 in a reorganization of the earlier Communication Services Division. The division supervised the operations of a number of units, including the Photo Studio, Broadcast Services, Educational Media Services, Electronic Media Services, Instructional Research and Development, the Department of Motion Picture Production, the Division of Instructional Research, Development, and Evaluation, and the Institute for Computer Uses in Education. In 1973 the division was renamed the Division of Learning Resources.
The director of the Instructional Services Division was Darrel J. Monson.
