Scrapbook includes photographs, newspaper clippings, and related ephemera gathered during Ernest Bosgieter's service as a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southern States Mission between 1927 and 1929.

Scope and Contents Contains a handwritten autobiography and diaries related to Boyle's life and experience as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The autobiography was written beginning in 1844 and, in the same volume, he starts a diary in 1846. Boyle kept 14 additional volumes of diaries, dating from 1855 to 1889. Diaries (1893, 1940, 1943, and 1945), correspondence (1892-1947), reports of the Southern States Mission (1908-1934), sermons, articles, personal certificates, speeches, patriarchal blessings, and miscellaneous items. These materials deal with a wide range of Mormon theological and administrative issues. They also deal with personal and family matters.

Photocopy of handwritten diaries. The collection consists of two diaries. The first was kept from 1879 to 1880 while Carver was serving in the Southern States. The second was kept from 1898 to 1899 while Carter was working in the Northwestern States. Also included is an account of Carter's interview with a female servant of the infamous John D. Lee, who was associated with the Mountain Meadows Massacre of 1857.

Scope and Contents Handwritten diary, letters, certificates, paroles, and Mormon Church blessings. The diary was kept while Harper served on a mission to the Southern States for the Mormon Church from 1887 to 1888. Also included is an autograph book signed by Mormons in the Utah State prison for polygamy in 1889. Scope and Contents The journal of William Anderson McGinley, officially bears the name, "Loose thoughts, rambles in the South, southern scenes, the aimless dreams of one and twenty, the 'ominous gatherings' of idle hours commenced in the early part of my 22nd year, 1852." Typescript of missionary journal for George Edmond (or Edmund) Miles' service in the Southern States Mission from July 1896-November 1897. Includes nearly daily entries describing Miles' experiences as a missionary. Journal is in two volumes: Volume 1 is July 1896-April 1897 and Volume 2 is May-November 1897.

Typed transcript of personal histories. The first portion of the transcript deals with Burk's experiences as a Mormon missionary in the Southern States Mission of the Mormon Church as recorded in his missionary journal. The second portion of the item relates to Burk's experiences as a Mormon temple worker in the Mesa, Arizona Temple.
