[Charles Crocker home on California Street between Jones Street and Taylor Street] , 1906 April
A foundation and parts of side panels of a formerly large home that belonged to the Crocker family; only the front entryway and sidewalls remain. There is a chimney on both sides of the debris. Two men are standing on the left side of the entryway and one man is sitting on the right side. On the hill to the left are two men carrying objects next to telephone poles.

There are bed frames and some columns of bricks standing on the left and right of the photograph amidst debris and rubble from crumbled homes. There is a large, destroyed building on the right.

Looking down on a city scene with destroyed buildings that still have some standing remains and much rubble and bricks in the streets. The building on the extreme right is identified as the Hall of Justice with its damaged steeple. There are groups of people scattered around the street. In the background there is a hill with a few buildings standing on the top. A few ships can be seen in the harbor to the right of the photograph.

City Hall, a large building, is shown here damaged and with exposed scaffolding. The entire foreground is covered in pieces of stone and brick. There is a section in the front part of the building towards the top-middle that has fallen off exposing two squared openings.
