Ben Bahlmann interview with Harry B. Perkins

Scope and Contents Typescript of an interview conducted by Ben Bahlmann on 27 Dec. 1998. The audiocassettes from which the transcription was made were retained by Bahlmann. Perkins talks about flying PBY reconnaisance aircraft from the Aleutian Islands off the coast of Alaska. He was also involved in aerial operations in other areas of the Pacific during World War II.

Materials dated approximately 1942-1945.

Scope and Contents Contains a record of Glen Gottfredson's military service aboard the U.S.S. Phoenix during World War II. Assembled materials include photocopies of ledgers, Gottfredson's award records, and a sketch about the role of the U.S.S. Phoenix in the war. Includes maps of the areas the ship traveled, especially New Guinea. Dated circa 1941-1945.

Robert N. Gayer scrapbook

Scope and Contents This collection includes a scrapbook from Indiana Bell Telephone Company to Robert N. Gayer called His Service Record, in wich there was room for Gayer to note information, add military orders, photographs, and room for phonographs. Also includes assorted maps, poetry, newspaper clippings, and a pin-up poster. Materials are dated 1941-1995.

Scope and Contents The Edward Miller Grimm papers contain military records, letters, photographs, and ephemera from Grimm's service in the Army and Navy during World War I and World War II. Also included are sketches (many signed by Grimm and others), several books of family histories, as well as the History of the Philippines Mission, 1961-1970, and a number of films made by Edward's wife, Maxine Tate Grimm, about their family and the Philippines. Materials dated 1918-2007.

Rory Reid interview with Lawrence H. Johnson

Also included is the reel-to-reel sound tape from which the interview was transcribed. Johnson talks about joining the Army Air Corps, his training, and his combat missions in the Pacific area.
