School of Music programs

Contains annual compilations of programs distributed at music performances of Brigham Young University's School of Music in Provo, Utah. Each of the 48 volumes contains programs for a given school year. Collection has volumes from 1948-2018 except for the following years: 1982-1983 through 1995-1996, 1997-1998 and 1998-1999.

Screen Directors Guild minutes

Photocopy of the minutes of the Screen Directors Guild meeting held on October 22, 1950. Discussion in the meeting focused on the guild's decision to institute a loyalty oath on its members, and the repercussions of that decision. Includes debate by guild president Joseph L. Mankiewicz and Cecil B. DeMille. Copy has been annotated and corrected by an unknown attendee.

Screen director's playhouse

Contains recordings of the Screen Director's Playhouse radio program which ran from January 1949 through September 1951 on the NBC radio network. The programs were adaptations of noted motion pictures. The film directors served as guest hosts and spoke briefly about the program. Principal cast members of the motion pictures reprised their roles in the radio programs.

Shoeless Joe screenplay draft and filming schedule

Scope and Contents Contains a photocopy of a 122-page adaptation of the novel "Shoeless Joe" (originally written by W.P. Kinsella under the title "The Dream Field," but later changed by the publisher) by Phil Alden Robinson, labeled "revised final draft." Also includes 27 pages of a filming schedule by day and scene, dated between June 7 and July 29, 1988. The resulting movie, "Field of Dreams," starring Kevin Costner, was released in May 1989. Sign of the sword
