Materials include a photocopied letter from William Ajax (Centre, Utah) to William Lewis (Aberdare, Wales), dated March 18, 1893. Ajax writes about Wales, Utah, and the building of the Salt Lake City temple. He says that the fine quality masonry has been built by Welshmen. He also talks about his education, current interests, describes his emmigration from Wales to Utah, and discusses his opinions about Mormonism and religion. Dated March 18, 1893.

Scope and Contents

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Hannah Meredith was born in 1855 in Wales. Her family had been converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they migrated to Utah in 1863. The family first lived in Salt Lake City and later in Vernon in Tooele County. She married Joseph White in 1875, and she and her husband moved to American Fork in 1906. She died in 1939.
