Collection contains diaries, ephemera, and patriarchal blessings produced by Oliver Boardman Huntington and his son, Oliver B. Huntington. Items document the early history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Latter-day Saint exodus to the West, and the establishment and early development of Utah. Materials date from between 1843 and 1932.

John Peter Rasmus Johnson diary
Handwritten diary of John Peter Rasmus Johnson recounting his overland journey by wagon train from Nebraska to Salt Lake City from July to September 1864. Johnson writes about encounters with Native Americans, deaths and births within the company, daily travelling conditions and camping locations, and the death of numerous oxen. The diary is moderately descriptive with daily entries.
Albert Jones journals and correspondence
Collection contains journals, correspondence, and an address prepared by Albert Jones. The journals document Jones's service driving Church teams, as well as his life in Provo, Utah. Materials date from between 1862 and 1925.
Oliver B. Huntington record books and other material, 1845-1932
Contains records of patriarchal blessings, newspaper clippings, and other ephemeral items written or gathered by Oliver B. Huntington. Some of these items were originally found in the diaries of Huntington's father, Oliver Boardman Huntington.
Oliver Boardman Huntington diaries, 1843-1907
Contains diaries written by Huntington between 1843 and 1907. Includes descriptions of his early life, his life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his service as a Mormon missionary in England, and his life as an early pioneer in Utah. Diaries also include reminiscent accounts of early Church history written by Huntington later in life. There are many gaps in the record.

Contains electronic copies of photographs of the journal of Sanford Porter Sr. Includes descriptions of Porter's experiences as an early convert to the LDS church and his journey with his family across the western United States. Materials dated approximately 2008.
