Despite Brigham Young University's strict non-drinking policies, Bell finds that many BYU students' social behaviors resemble the drinking cultures at other schools. College students at Brigham Young University remain sober but drink beverages that resemble alcohol in order to express their individuality and rebellion. Rasmussen collected dreams that her friends were willing to share and the special influence dreams hold in the culture of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Included are dreams that are like a horror film the dreamer recently had seen, dreams where the dreamer is acting silly and out of control, and dreams that had spiritual overtones. Christiansen investigated jargon used by theatre students at Brigham Young University and hypothesized that the words and phrases used stem from community, religion, and necessity.
