Anti-Mormon graffiti at the University of Utah / David S. Azzolina, 1975
Azzolina records the graffiti found in various buildings on the campus of the University of Utah dealing with distasteful feelings toward the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Highlighted in particular are the Library, the Park Building, and the Biology North building. Project was created for an English 391 course taught at Brigham Young University in 1975.
Anti-Negro jokes among northern Floridians / Susan Harris, 1980
Submitted by BYU student Susan Harris for her Fall 1980 English 391 class. About the jokes about African Americans told among Southerners, particularly northern Floridians. Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, list of informants, and informant items. Items include jokes about African Americans' appearance, creation, personalities, watermelon, and hate jokes.

Shauna Lee Eddy collected and compared personal narratives and lore from two farming families. Included are stories of the origin of the farms, specific trials, religion, and rites of passage. Ashton collected folklore surrounding casual open houses that often follow official farewells for missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Included are opinions on when the open house official starts, what food is served there, who attends, and several menus from the open houses of friends. Project was collected for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1996.

Reiiter collected dating, engagement, and marriage traditions from the many different cultures in her family. Included are traditions from Tonga, Austria, America, and the Dominican Republic. The project was written for an English class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.

Allen explores the sharing of engagement stories as a common topic of oral folklore, particularly amongst students of Brigham Young University. Hamilton collected stories of proposals and engagements from students at Brigham Young University. Included are stories of a younger brother playing a saxophone in the bushes while his brother proposed, a man proposing while his fiancée got 32 mosquito bites, and a couple who planned out their whole proposal together. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
Apartment language : one long private joke / Elisabeth Maughan, 1997
Maughan collected commonly used terms and inside jokes from apartments. Included are using different languages to talk about the opposite sex when they're in the room, nicknames used to identify roommates and acquaintances, and songs used to play when a roommate has asked on a date and been rejected. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
