Scope and Contents note
This project contains a collection of tractors by the collector's family and family friends (Hale Jeffery, Jeff Nye ). Included in the analysis is an outline of how to start a tractor collection, the tractor numbering system, and twelve photographs printed on paper. There is an extensive interview with Jeff Nye about his collection (twenty-eight photographs printed on paper) along with thirty-nine pictures printed on paper of Jeffery Hale's collection with commentary. Included with the tractor collection is a collection of Jeffery Hale's farm implements consisting of thirty-eight photographs printed on paper with commentary. There is also a collection of Jeffery Hale's tractor collectables (thirteen photographs printed on paper with commentary) and a collection of the plastic models at the county fair (nineteen photographs printed on paper). Included in the family memories section, there are five photographs printed on paper along with four narratives. In the last section are "How a farmer chooses a tractor", "Expensive hobby", "How Hale met Jeff", "Tractor storage", and miscellaneous information and conversation (9 photographs printed on paper included).Collected by Debra Lynn Ford, Dr. Deirdre Paulsen's ENGL 391 class, Winter 2006.
