Nordstrom has a keen interested in the modern medical world, but her father-in-law looks towards herbal remedies, consequently she looked for middle-ground with folk cures for mild problems. An enduring tradition : Nana's veil / Catherine Fox Horman, 1997

Horman collected folklore surrounding the family tradition of wearing a great grandmother's lace veil when getting married. Included are descriptions of why wearing the veil became a tradition, how it was worn by each woman, and pictures of the women wearing the veil.
