Pectol tells of his conversion to the Mormon faith, the emigration of his family by wagon to Utah, and early settlement in Manti, Utah. The accounts often sermonize about the veracity of the Mormon Church and comment on its history. George Pectol autobiography

Two typewritten copies of excerpts from an autobiography. Some of the account is written in the form of a diary. Pectol writes about his conversion to the Mormon Church, his migration to Utah in 1850, and his life in Manti, Utah, starting in 1850. Pectol describes life in Manti including disagreements with his wife and encounters with the local Ute Indians before, during, and after the "Walker War" of 1853 to 1854.

Handwritten biography and journal. The biography is about Brigham's father, Jesse Nelson Perkins (1819-1883). Jesse was a Mormon missionary and pioneer who was active in civic and in Mormon Church affairs. He first settled in Davis County, Utah and later moved to Taylor, Arizona in 1877 with Brigham. Brigham's journal tells about his life in Taylor, Arizona.

Handwritten receipts. Erastus Snow, an apostle in the Mormon Church signs a receipt in St. Louis, Missouri, on 18 April 1855 noting William Cooper's payment of $72. John Sanderson signs a promissory note on 10 Oct. 1853 stating he would bring the Thomas O'Brien family from England.

The events in Peterson's life are recounted from 1850 to 1866, after which a daily record was kept until 1899. Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten dual biography. Richard Phillips was born in New Jersey, married Margaret Luker, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The couple came to Utah in 1861, settled in American Fork, and were the parents of 12 children.
