Typescript of an autobiography. Holt writes about his childhood, conversion to the Mormon Church, mission for that faith in Tennessee, and migration to Salt Lake City, Utah. He also tells about the confusion in the Mormon Church after the death of its first president, Joseph Smith.

George Housley account
Handwritten account of George Housley's experiences with the Martin handcart company. Housley tells of hunger, death due to exposure and starvation, rationing of food, and relief sent to them from Salt Lake City to enable them to continue on with their journey.
Biography : Hyrum Huggard
Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Huggard was born in 1856 in Iowa. His family were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they left for Utah three weeks after Hyrum was born. They later moved to American Fork, Utah. He married and had seven children and died in 1939.
