Scope and Contents
Collection includes research done by J. Taylor Hollist on Wilford C. Wood. It includes photocopies and typed summaries of information he collected from the Wilford Wood Museum in Bountiful, Utah, and the LDS Church Archives in Salt Lake City, Utah. The information describes how the Church came to own many of its associated historical sites. The collection also includes a typewritten biography of Wilford C. Wood written by A. James Faulkner in 2014, and an index and endnotes to this book created by Hollist in 2015. Dated 1800-2015.

Biographical History
J. Taylor Hollist (born 1936) was a Mormon mathematician who taught at State University of New York at Oneonta.
J. Taylor Hollist was born November 14, 1936, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Orson Leroy Hollist and Jennie Brown. He went to elementary school in Brigham City, Utah, and high school in Kaysville, Utah. He then attended Weber State College and Utah State University. He married Suzanne Parker in 1961. They are the parents of seven children. He was an Associate Professor of Mathematics at State University of New York at Oneonta. He taught mathematics for over 40 years with geometry as a specialty. During that time he spent 15 years studying the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher and published three articles on him. The highlight of his career was attending an Escher Conference at the University of Rome (Italy) and presenting a paper. He and his wife Suzanne served a mission to Nauvoo which sparked his interest in Wilford Wood.
