Biography of John Olney Adams (native pioneer) and his wife, Mattie Marie Peterson

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. John Olney Adams was born in American Fork, Utah, in 1861 and Mattie Marie Peterson was born in 1864 in Denmark. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah. They married in 1884. John died in 1932 in Bingham, Utah, and Mattie died in 1928.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. William E. Bate was born in 1846 in England. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1859. He settled in American Fork and died in 1907 in Rigby, Idaho. This item was read by Laura Logie Timpson at a meeting of Adams Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Utah County, American Fork, Utah.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Samuel Kendall Gifford was born in New York in 1821 and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints. He migrated to Utah in 1850, settled in Washington County, Utah, had four wives, and died in 1907.

He live in Salt Lake City and in Stockton, Utah. Roxie Ann Baker was born in 1849 in Des Moines, Iowa, and came to Utah in 1850. Joseph married Roxie Ann, and they had 12 children. They were both members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They lived in American Fork, Utah. Joseph died in 1895, and Roxie Ann died...

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, migrated to Utah in 1852, married George Cunningham in 1863, lived in American Fork, Utah, and had 13 children. James Cunningham was born in England in 1840 and migrated to Utah with the Willie handcart company in 1856. At one point, he helped bury 15 people in one grave...

He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1868. He married Alica Ellen Fryer in 1873, and the new couple moved to American Fork, Utah. He died in 1911. Also included is a poem by Laura L. Timpson dedicated to the Elsmore family.

She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and married Robert Evans. They migrated to Utah in 1857 and settled in American Fork. The couple had no children. She died in 1930. Also included is a poem by Laura L. Timpson about Mary Clines Evans.
