Handwritten autobiography of Gardner, detailing his birth and life in Scotland. Autobiography also documents immigration to Canada, marriage, and baptism in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Also included are what seem to be financial notes from the years 1858 to 1862. Dated approximately 1858 to 1870.

Also includes inserted photographs, newspaper clippings, and other material. Collection also includes an English translation of the journal.

This collection consists of 20 leaves photocopied from a typewritten compilation assembled and written by Hazel Barker Bott of her great-grandfather's family and descendants. Bott has included short biographies and photos. Alfred Great Barker and family were ribbon weavers in Coventry, England. They were converted to the Mormon Church in 1865, immigrated to America in 1879, and came to Utah in 1872, leaving some of their children in England.

The first series is comprised of personal items which belonged to Thomas and Mary Ann Bryant Parkinson and include his 1855 priesthood ordination in San Bernardino, his personal journal, and original letters from family members in England and Australia dating as early as 1856. These letters are written to Thomas and Mary Ann Bryant Porter Parkinson, and to Thomas's sister, Sarah Parkinson Rodwell Stapley....

Biography : Hannah Astill Goddard

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typed biography. Hannah Astill was born in 1823 in England. She married Henry Goddard in 1847, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1850, and migrated to Utah in 1855. She lived in Provo, Utah, and died in 1888.
