Materials include an account written by Henry Ronald Frogley that describes his military experiences in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II as a surgical technician. Contains copies of his honorable discharge certificate, letters for his Presidential Unit Citation and Silver Star awards, and two photographs. Contains a copied newspaper article recounting how Frogley rescued a wounded Marine in a battle at Okinawa by escaping through a sewer. Dated 1942-1945, approximately 2000.

Hyrum Edward Flanders letters and account, 1918-2002
Materials include written histories, letters and documents regarding the service of Hyrum Edward Flanders in the Chemical Warfare Service Division of the U.S. Army during World War I. Stornetta, the granddaughter of Hyrum Edward Flanders, has retyped letters written between him and his then-sweetheart and future wife, Della, as he served in the chemical corps in New York City. Also included is an account of how Stornetta discovered the letters. Dated 1918-1919, 2002.
