William B. Efner histories
This collection consists of typewritten articles and histories written and compiled by Efner. They describe life in the early Dutch settlement of Schnectady, indian skirmishes, and Revolutionary warfare in the Mohawk Valley in the 1780's. Stories concerning prominent citizens, buildings, and landmarks are colorfully written. Schenectady is noted for its cloth industry which attracted many immigrants.
Delia Ellison letters
Handwritten letters addressed to Lt. Samuel L. Daggett of 11th Regiment Vermont Volunteers of the Union Army. Apparently, Daggett was stationed in or near Washington, D.C., for much of the war. Also included are letters from Ellison's and Daggett's family members. Ellison writes about her studies in Springfield, Vermont, and her teaching in Saxtons River, Vermont. She also talks about social occasions, kissing, fashions, and family matters.
Robert Spurrier Ellison papers
Microfilmed copies of handwritten and typescripts of interview notes, correspondence, general notes, and lists. The materials relate primarily to the Indian wars of North America from 1866 to 1895. The original materials reside in the Ellison--Camp collection at the Denver Public Library. The items were initialy created and collected by Walter Mason Camp with some materials generated by Robert Ellison. Also included are typescripts of some of the items.
