Elizabeth Chamblee deed of gift to Eliz Martha Strickland
This collection consists of one holograph and a typescript copy. The document is the transferral of ownership of "a negro girl named Mary, aged 22", from Elizabeth Chamblee of Ware County, North Carolina to her granddaughter, Eliz Martha Strickland.

The papers of Woodruff J. Deem. The papers include three groups: court and legal papers, educational papers, and miscellaneous papers. Court and legal papers include court transcripts and other legal papers, including Georgetown Law Review volumes. The educational papers include teacher evalutions, lecture notes, course syllabi, quiz keys, and other class papers. The miscellaneous papers include a poster, photographs, newspapers clippings, and correspondence.

Two handwritten depositions. They concern a land dispute between John Copsey and Rees Pritchard. Each was attested and signed by Monroe.
District Court indictment of William R. Albright
Contains two handwritten indictments (4 pages) affirming that Albright was arrested for the murder of an Indian and was brought to before judge John Titus of the third district of Utah for the United States. Judge Titus signed both documents.
District of Columbia legal documents
Handwritten and signed legal documents. One is a receipt dated 17 January 1814 for a bond payment of $500. The other is a testimony by a court clerk that William Crauch is a Justice of the Washington, D.C. circuit court.
Documents in the Case of John W. Archer vs. James J. Strang and John Cole
Handwritten legal documents including affidavits, writs, depositions, and decisions. The items relate to a suit brought by John W. Archer, a disaffected Strangite, against James J. Strang and John Cole in the summer of 1849 to recover a wagon Archer had consecrated to Strang's group. The case was heard in Walworth County, Wisconsin.
Augustus C. Dodge and George W. Jones letters
Collection includes two letters, one from Augustus C. Dodge and the other from George W. Jones, from 1853. The letters both recommend John F. Kinney for the position of Chief Justice over the Utah Territory, so that he might "exercise a wholesome influence over the Mormons".

Letter was written by Doty in November 1861 to recommend Alexander L. Collins to serve as a judge in Wisconsin.

Contains materials related to a court case between Rhoda R. Dougall, representing her deceased husband, Hugh M. Dougall, Jr., and the G.S. Wood Mercantile Company. Dougall was represented in this case by Arthur V. Watkins. Materials include correspondence with him and the attorneys for Wood's company, abstracts of the case, court proceedings papers, and other documents. Dated 1937-1940.
