Charles Ludwig Olsen autobiography

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a handwritten autobiography. Olsen writes about his birth in Norway, his migration to Salt Lake City, Utah, and his life in Santaquin, Utah. He played dance music in many places in Utah and was tried by a Mormon court for inviting people to a public dance. He later settled in Salem, Utah, and continued to play his violin at dances. Typewritten history of the "Dream Mine." Most of the information for this article was received from John Hyrum Koyle, the founder of the mine. Also included are notes on "Koyle Mining Co. Stock Holder's Meeting," and a "Statement" made by Carter E. Grant. This statement is letters written by Grant relating to the mine. These items relate some of the dreams and revelations by Koyle concerning the mine and future events.

Photocopy of a typewritten biography of Ambrose Sabin (1834-1908) by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Sabin Gough. Ambrose was a Mormon pioneer to Utah. He spent most of his adult life in Salem, Utah. He was a farmer and the father of eleven children.
