Scope and Contents Handwritten autobiography and diary. Also included is a typescript of these items. Scott served as a missionary for the Mormon Church to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey in the 1840s. He was also an early resident of Provo, Utah. Scott's autobiography covers his life to 1855, and his diary covers the years 1855 to 1859.
