Alonzo H. Raleigh autobiography and letter
Collection includes the typescript of an autobiography of Alonzo (6 p.). Also, typescript of a letter written by Alonzo on 29 October 1843 from Nauvoo, Illinois, to his father-in-law, John Taber (or Tabor), in Alfred, Maine. The two-page letter details the recent death of Alonzo's wife and Taber/Tabor's daughter, Mary Ann Taber/Tabor (b. 16 April 1822 in North Brewer, York, Maine).
Michael Ranger-Jones letter
Handwritten letter composed on May 20, 1850 near the upper crossing of the Platte River. This item was addressed to his wife while he was traveling to the gold fields of California. It describes traveling along the Oregon Trail.
Nils Gunnar Rasmuson papers
Handwritten and typewritten documents on microfilm. They include diaries, correspondence, blessings, certificates, and miscellaneous items. The materials relate largely to Rasmuson's career as a journalist and to his personal life. Also included are papers of Nils' sister, Anna C. Rasmuson.
