Joseph Wilson and Milson Pratt letters
The collection consists of two separate letters. The first is written by Milson Pratt to a J. Hatten Carpenter in 1887. The second is addressed to Joseph Wilson in 1895, written by family member S.S. Wilson.
Winchester family papers
Materials primarily include correspondence between members of the Benjamin Winchester family. Some of the letters are written between family members who were visiting their grandparents in the Salt Lake Valley during the Civil War. The bulk of the correspondence is to and from Benjamin's oldest son, Savillian. Also includes business material and various receipts relating to Benjamin's life in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Dated 1864-1908.
Sarah J. Wines papers
Correspondence, ledger books, greeting cards, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, notes, photographs, and minutes. The ledger books relate to a curb and gutter service in Ogden, Utah. The correspondence relate to the final illness of Wines' husband, Ira Wines. Most of the materials relate to personal matters.
Albert William Winkler papers
Typewritten copies of letters, blessings, and a diary. The four letters were sent to Albert's brother, Wilford Winkler, when Wilford was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Switzerland. These items are from Albert and his wife, Emma Fowles Winkler. Also included are five Mormon Church blessings given to Emma and Albert. The diary covers the years 1907-8 and covers the time when Albert was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Switzerland.
Joseph Leopold Wirthlin letter
TLS. to Kate B. Carter of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers regarding a book of pioneer histories, and his praise for and desire that young people learn of Latter-day Saint pioneer history.
Harry J. Wolff letter
Handwritten and signed letter addressed to Araxi Jamgochian, dated 8 January 1950. This item is a request for suggestions, recommendations, and bibliographies in regards to productions of one-act plays at the Archbishop Stepinac High School.
Floyd Craig Wolverton letters
ALS, TL, and TLS's collected by Wolverton from spokesmen for seven Latter-day Saint Church-related groups describing their history and present activities.
Asahel Wood letters
Handwritten letters dated 1836 and 1841. Two items were signed by Asahel Wood and London Kellogg and were written in Castile, New York. Wood and Kellogg write to O. W. Norton about a religious matter relating to what was apparently a forged letter. Norton writes two notes on at the end of the letters requesting further information.
Phoebe K. Woodbury letters
Handwritten letters, lists of ancestors, and patriarchal blessings. Most of the letters were sent to family members and tell of her life in Salt Lake City.
Wilford Woodruff correspondence
Photocopies of letters exchanged between Wilford Woodruff and his brother, Asahel. Wilford describes baptising their family members into the Mormon Church and establishing a branch of that Church in Farmington, Conn. He announces the 14 July birth of his daughter and outlines preparations to migrate to Missouri. He bears testimony to the truthfulness of the Mormon Church.
