Photocopy of a handwritten letter written on March 4, 1910 at "The White Nile." Roosevelt expresses appreciation to Brutus J. Clay, a minister for the United States who was leaving diplomatic service in Switzerland.

Two newspaper articles published in 1949 and a booklet entitled "Der Bamburger Reiter: deutsches Symbol," both by Rost. Also included are two letters received by Rost and two sections of rough drafts of articles or essays. Dr. Rost wrote in defense of the Catholic Church in the political climate of Germany.

G. Oscar Russell correspondence
Collection contains two letters written by G. Oscar Russell. The first letter was written to James L. Barker; the second letter was written to John A. Widtsoe. The letters date from 1945.
Max H. Russell mission papers
The collection consists of two folders from the mission of Max. H. Russell from 1932-1934. It contains correspondence, photographs, booklets, as well as a transcribed interview with Max H. Russell. Most of the documents are regarding the use of the Book of Mormon tour using a film strip showing archaeological sites at ancienct ruins to spark interest in the church.
Edwin L. Sabin papers
Collection includes holograph and typed letters received by Sabin. Many of these materials relate to Sabin's research on Kit Carson, and include answers to Sabin's inquiries regarding the personality, appearance, and activities of Carson. The information was of use to Sabin in his book "Kit Carson Days (1809-1868)" published in 1914 and in its revised edition of 1935. Also included are letters that relate to Sabin's efforts to get photographs of the American West.
