File also includes a photograph, the negative, and photocopies of servicemen blessing the sacrament on a ship in the Pacific. Photocopied photographs of Marines and sailors on different Pacific islands, Japan, and the Philippines. Also contains a photocopy of John A. Larsen's discharge papers and a photocopied letter of gratitude from President Harry S. Truman. Dated 1943-1945, 1987-2001.

John S. Rieske book, 1944
Materials contain John S. Rieske's book "Hurry Up and Wait--My Experiences As a Draftee in World War II" relating all of the experiences that John Rieske had while he served in the U.S. Army. The book contains photocopied photos of Germany near the end of the war, Rieske's discharge papers, and a newspaper article about Rieske's unit 102nd Infantry Division. Dated 1944.
